We are seeking a skilled volunteer to help us with applying for the annual Non Profit Security Grant through the Department of Homeland Security.

This grant provides funding to non profit organizations to help improve their security and prevent serious criminal attacks on their facilities.

We are seeking assistance with the application as it requires attention to detail and time that our part time admin volunteers do not have to give.

Thus, we are asking for the time and expertise of a skilled volunteer to assist us with this project

We are dedicated to continuing to serve the greater Queens community. At the same time, we want our visitors and congregants to feel safe and be able to feel at home at our facility.

We will provide any and all documentation as needed and meet with the volunteer to discuss our needs / desires.

Additionally, once the application is finished we have all the follow up materials from the previous application. We already have the vendors and connections. We simply need the application to be compiled and sent in for processing.

Kehilat Sephardim Food Pantry aims to end hunger in the surrounding Jewish / Immigrant communities and beyond by providing Kosher and assorted goods multiple days a week via an open market and client choice system where all of our food is visible and clients can choose what they would like to take for themselves and their loved ones. We believe: “One should not have to choose between their religious/ dietary needs and going hungry.”
