We're looking for a skilled volunteer who can help us update and improve the ads and social media tiles we've been using to promote our 8 Trust Indicators (https://thetrustproject.org/trust-indicators/), which help people confidently choose trustworthy news. The ads, which run in multiple languages, carry simple, compelling messages about characteristics of trustworthy news and point people to our learning page. We would like to expand the number of ad/tile options, update the messages as needed, change out the images and update their look overall.

With honest news is rapidly losing ground to falsehoods circulating on deceptive “news” sites, search engines and social media, these ads are a very important way to help people cut through the noise and get information they can act on. We invite you to apply your creativity and expertise to design and develop the most effective ads possible, while keeping our brand identity.
We're excited about this project because our ad campaign so far has been very successful. Sixty percent of those who saw the original ads, clicked through to our learning page and took our survey said they felt more confident about assessing the news. We know people are upset about the amount of disinformation they encounter every day and that the Trust Indicators make a difference.

We can't wait to work with a new suite of ads and tiles so we can help people know the news and confidently speak up about the issues that matter to them.
We have a visual foundation in place, including a full suite of existing ads and tiles for your reference, and a set of messages already written. We're clear on our vision, values and audience now that we've run such campaigns for a couple of years. We're also very open to your advice on what messages might resonate even more.

We're familiar with the design process and ready to give you feedback on a timely basis and approve designs. You'd be working with two people on our team, one of whom would serve as project manager.

We use the ads and tiles ourselves in many ways and share them with about 300 news organizations globally to use as well. They are featured in our #Checkthe8 campaign, in which we invite people to share a tip about trustworthy news every month through their social media networks. The ads can also be used in training and curriculum materials.
